Wind Rating - When installed properly, the Isla sidepost is engineered to handle light to moderate wind conditions in the open (horizontal) position.
VERY IMPORTANT: As winds increase from the light to moderate level, the Isla should be taken out of the tilt position and placed in the horizontal position. Then hook the "stabilizer stays" into place and cinch to provide extra stability. The ISLA tilt positions should not be used if gusty conditions exist.
The following common sense guidelines prevail for the Isla:
1. As winds get stronger or in anticpation of uncertain/severe weather conditions, the canopy should be lowered to the folded position and strapped to the mast.
2. The Isla should always be left in the folded and strapped position when unattended or not is use.
3. Remove and store the entire Isla structure in anticipation of or during severe weather conditions such as strong tropical storms and hurricanes.
